How Much Paint Do I Need?

To estimate how much paint you’ll need, follow this formula:
- Measure the total length of each wall.
- Multiply the sum by the wall height to find the total wall area.
- Subtract 20 square feet for each door to get the actual wall area you’re painting.
- Divide the total area by the paint coverage (usually 400 square feet per gallon). This will tell you how many gallons you need for one coat.
- Multiply by 2 to account for two coats.
